Become a Trustee

We're looking for enthusiastic, passionate individuals with professional or personal experience to join our fantastic board of trustees. Alternatively, if you have no experience but are passionate about the work we do get in touch!

Our trustees play a vital role in setting the direction of success for our charity, holding staff to account for their actions and ensure we stay on track with our charitable objects.

Why become a Raising Youth Trustee?

By becoming a trustee for Raising Youth you'll be part of our heart, guiding a charity dedicated to supporting young individuals from birth to 25 to achieve their idea of success. A charity established by individuals who have been in similar situations to those it helps - whether in poverty, struggling with their mental health, special educational needs or disabilities or not in employment, education or training (NEETs).

Join other trustees with a wide variety of personal and professional experience in different fields including; finance, safeguarding, business, marketing, charity and education.

What we would like from you

Whether you have experience in being a trustee for a charity or not we would love to have you on board. We're looking for individuals of all ages who are passionate about our work and willing to commit time to govern and drive our operations to success.

You'll need to be aged 16 or over and living in England or Wales, and not be disqualified from becoming a Trustee. It is helpful to be able to travel to Kent & Medway in order to attend face-to-face Board meetings, but this is not essential and you will be able to attend virtually.

Trustee Commitments

By being a trustee for our charity means committing time for governance meetings and service visits.

We hold 11 trustee meetings every year - from January through to November. This is to ensure that all individuals on our board are kept up-to-date on a frequent basis & to come together to assess the charities performance and documentation.
