Free Rapid COVID-19 Tests for People Without Symptoms

We're working with NHS Test and Trace to bring free rapid COVID-19 Tests to our community. This page tells you more about what we're doing.

On Sunday 17th October 2021, we will be providing tests and test kits at a pop up test site at St Nicholas Church Strood from 9am to 3pm.

Regular Raid Testing is vital to protect the NHS as we move through winter as 1 in 3 people with COVI-19 have no symptoms at all and are spreading it without knowing.

The Testing Process

Registration

Usually take around 5 minutes

The first step to taking your test is to register your test. Upon arrival our colleagues will ask you some questions to ensure you are eligible for testing and explain the process. We'll then talk you through registering the test using the Test for Coronavirus Service on GOV.UK. You must register the test to receive your results.

Taking Your Test

Usually about 10 minutes

Once you've registered the test, we'll call you to the testing booth. Our colleague will explain the process to you ad answer any questions. They'll guide you through the process and be on hand to help if needed. Once you've swabbed your nostril and both tonsils, they'll process the swab and start the test. At this time, you can return to your daily activities as normal.

Receiving Your Results

Within 45 minutes

Once the sample has been processed it's left to test for 30 minutes. After this time our colleagues will read the test and log your result. The NHS will send your results with advice on what to do next by text and email you provided when registering the test.

You Did It!

You helped rpotect your loved ones and the NHS!

You just did something amazing. By taking the test you helped the NHS and your loved ones stay safe by ensuring you are not infectious. You should take a test again later that week using a home test kit we can provide you with.
