Post 16 Pathway
Raising Youth has begun working with young people to support them into employment, this is to increase the chances of young people accessing paid employment. This service offers choices of how we can help you with becoming employed. Look at the boxes below to see what's on offer.
Should you only be looking for help with writing a Curriculum Vitae please specify this within your referral. An Employability Coach will be assigned to you and organise a meeting to create a CV with you.
If you're feeling anxious about an interview or the interview process we offer the choice to be assigned an Employability Coach who will organise mock interviews with you until you feel happy to be interviewed by an employer.
We also have our full Employability Programme offer available to enrol onto. This will cover CV writing, mock interviews and support into employment. Details of this can be found below.
Step 1: Enrolment
To begin accessing this service; please complete and return the referral form. Our team will then get in touch; please note that there may be a waiting list to enrol onto the service; as a result an email or letter will be sent informing you of this. Our team will ensure to keep you updated on the process of you accessing the service.
Step 3: Further Training
Following the Employability Assessment, your coach may feel like you could benefit or require further training, certifications or qualifications licenses in order to work in your preferred industry/company.
They will then work with you in order to access the correct resources and services to gain the training, licenses and certifications needed to go into your preferred industry.
Your Employability Coach will work with you until you enter paid employment or apprenticeship; you may then ask to have them continue working with you to support/advise you during your employment for up to 4 months.
Step 2: Assessments
Your Employability Coach will schedule an Employability Assessment with you towards the beginning of accessing the service.
This assessment will allow them to find out details regarding your employment preferences, current certifications & training, struggles and any help they may be able to provide.
You will also be able to have support with writing a Curriculum Vitae (CV) and have the chance to undergo Mock interviews.
Once the Employability Assessment and any further training/qualifications have been gained, your employability coach will then schedule a second assessment where they go over your old Curriculum Vitae (CV) and update with the relevant information. This will then be followed by a job search, enrolling you onto job boards, creating cover letters and even making applications.
